Workshop Series

The collaborative Media Conservation Workshop series aims to fill gaps where practicing conservators and associated professionals require advanced training in the care of time-based media works, and will address the need for collaborative work across an institution. The series is guided by a New York based Workshop Planning Committee that represents museums, non-profit archives, private conservators and universities with a critical mass of knowledge and expertise in time-based media collections and conservation. This group will identify specific topics for the workshops and develop the curricula. The format will include presentations, discussion, and a focus on practical sessions led by experts in the field. Although the topics of the workshops will reference each other, they will be discrete programs.
